Starting Up Tennessee

Startup America Partnership CEO Scott Case, Chief of Staff Kathleen Warner, and Communications Director Chris Roche are in Music City today to celebrate tomorrow's launch of Startup Tennessee. This is the second region to launch, following Startup Illinois last month, and will be followed by more regions across the country.

The team will be joined at the Entrepreneur Center by Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam, Entrepreneur Center CEO Michael Burcham, and the Commissioner of the Department of Economic and Community Development Bill Hagerty for the big announcement tomorrow.

The day's events will include a working session for prospective and committed partners and a press conference with Governor Haslam. Entrepreneurs from across the state and representatives from our national partners will be in attendance.

The long-term success of the Startup America Partnership depends upon the strength of regional entrepreneurial ecosystems that can foster more successful startups and accelerate the growth of speedups. Under the umbrella of Startup Tennessee, a coalition of mentors, advisors, funders, major corporations and service providers can work together to deliver strategic and substantive resources to help entrepreneurs start and scale companies in the state. And more successful startups equates to more jobs!

Make sure you also watch last week's webinar, where Scott Case and Kathleen Warner discussed the great work by entrepreneurs in Tennessee to organize the launch of Startup Tennessee.
